Hi, I’m David Mercaldo—a children’s author and professional DJ based in Jersey City, NJ and New York City. Whether I’m writing stories that entertain and inspire young readers or creating the perfect soundtrack for an event, I approach every project with heart and imagination. My goal is simple: to make people feel something, whether through the turn of a page or the beat of a song.
Writing Stories That Inspire Kids
I’ve always believed that books can change lives—especially when they’re written for children. My stories are crafted for kids aged 8 to 10, combining adventure, humor, and meaningful messages. I write to spark curiosity, build confidence, and make reading fun. Watching a young reader light up when they connect with a character or storyline is one of my greatest joys. Through my books, I aim to offer positive experiences that last long after the story ends.

As a DJ, I bring more than just a playlist—I bring energy, emotion, and connection. Whether it’s a wedding, party, or private event in Jersey City or NYC, I tailor my music to the people in the room. I love blending classics and contemporary tracks to keep everyone dancing. Every set I perform is designed to reflect the atmosphere, elevate the mood, and make memories that stick. Music has power, and I treat it with care.
